How much can you earn through train2earn?

Earning SNS as a Builder

Builders are compensated based on a tiered payment structure. The idea is to reward skilled builders and discourage 'utterance spam', which not only spoils the experience for other builders, but also increases our validation costs (which risks making us uncompetitive in the market). With tiered rewards, the higher the builder's validation approval rate, the greater the payout. The payment structure looks like this:

Approval rate = Accepted / (Accepted + Rejected). If for example a builder submits 700 utterances in a week, and 455 pass validation (65%), then they will earn SNS worth $113 USD. Conversely, a builder who submits 700 utterances, and only 300 pass validation (42%), would earn SNS worth $75 USD. Since a builder's validation rate is calculated each week, their approval rate can move up or down based on the quality of their submissions.

Submission Caps

Each builder is allowed to submit up to 50 utterances per day per Kanon NFT in their wallet. The idea is to encourage builders to focus on quality versus quantity. It is a further guard against utterance spam. A skilled builder (60% approval rate) might consider investing in a second Kanon NFT, as this would allow them to submit up to 150 utterances per day and potentially double their earnings.

Earning SNS as a Validator

Good validation requires careful and consistent application of the guidelines. It is an important task for our ecosystem. A skilled validator can earn more than a skilled builder, as it takes less time to review utterances than to craft them. Validators are paid .075 USD for every utterance than validate. A validator who validates 2,500 utterances in a week (about 10 hours of work) would earn SNS worth $187.50 USD.

We're currently developing metrics to assess each validator's performance, to ensure quality validation. Metrics will likely include consensus rate (e.g. how often they are in consensus with other validators), number of validations per week (with minimum targets), and the accuracy rate achieved in each campaign. Being selected as a validator is a privilege. Underperforming validators will be warned and (if necessary) replaced with new candidates. Validators who perform well will earn additional rewards.

Cash out or Invest?

What can you do with the SNS you've earned? You can swap SNS for local fiat through a digital currency exchange (see Digital Currency Exchanges). Or you may want to save some or all of your earnings, as the price of SNS may go up as our ecosystem grows. Saving also gives you the option to put your money to work to generate Passive Income.
