Validators play an important role in our ecosystem. They accept or reject the utterances submitted by our builders based on criteria laid out in the Validator Guidelines article below. Approved utterances become part of the 'mental map' of the Mind Expression conversational AI engine. Rejected utterances don't.
To become a validator, you must first train up as a builder. This experience will give you the background you need to understand the process of crafting utterances. If you consistently achieve a high approval rate (70% or greater), you may be invited to become a validator. This entails passing an exam.
Connect to the Platform
Before you connect to the Synesis One AI training platform, you need to set up a wallet, since we gate access to the validation role by wallet address. Only those who have been invited and passed the exam can participate. See 'create a wallet' article if you need to review how to set up a wallet.
Next, be sure your 'validator' wallet contains a Kanon NFT, some SOL for 'gas', and SNS tokens for staking. See the article on Kanon Exchange if you need a Kanon NFT and the Digital Currency Exchanges article if you need SOL or SNS. Now you're ready. Go to the Synesis One platform, connect your wallet, and select 'play as validator.'
Evaluate Utterances
Select a campaign and stake 100 SNS to enter. In the campaign screen, you'll see a list of available utterances submitted by the builders. Note if an utterance is marked 'full', then that means it has already been validated by another validator. Read each available submission carefully. Apply the rubric detailed in the Validator Guidelines article below and then select the checkmark to approve or the X to reject the utterance. If you reject an utterance, the interface will prompt you to select a reason (relation, relevancy, pattern diversity, or naturalness) from the drop down menu. We'll go over this below. This feedback helps builders improve.
When you have reviewed a block of utterances (up to 50 at a time), press the 'submit utterances' button to validate. You will be prompted to approve the transaction and pay a small fee in Sol. It may take a few moments for your submissions to be recorded on the Solana Blockchain. Once it's finished you can continue validating. Now let's look at the rubric we developed for Validator Guidelines.
