# 12.2 On Synesis ($SNS)

<div align="left"><img src="/files/1Vg4JukHEHM02h5B510y" alt=""></div>

The SNS token allows its holders to shape the future of Synesis One. Synesis comes from the Greek word σύνεσις (soon'-es-is), which means unification, conscience, and reason – all qualities of good governance.

Once the network is fully deployed and financial sustainability has been reached, governance of Synesis One will be handed over to the community of SNS holders, creating a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). SNS holders will be able to propose and vote on new features, language, digital artists, and the release of a new Kanon collection.

SNS holders will also be able to influence how Synesis One grows by voting on the priority of ontological bounties or upper-level ethical ontologies. The goal is a community powered governance to ensure proposals benefit the ecosystem.
