# 8.4 Community Events

Many regular and ad-hoc events will occur. Up to 50% of the community development budget will be allocated to supporting influencers, clans and their related activities surrounding Kanon, SNS, and ontology mining. But a sharp focus will be placed on our overarching concept of ***Digital Wealth Creation***. We want our community to be able to make a living as an ontology miner and/or Kanon collector/trader. Most of these events will be first announced and hosted online on Kanon Exchange, but eventually we want to support community-led offline events and meetups. The initial inspiration for successful NFT community involvement and events comes from BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club). BAYC uses a combination of online and offline community participation (i.e., members-only bathroom graffiti, offline meetups, online club in a metaverse, etc.) and collaboration with brands.\[i]
